Wedding at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church NY

Wedding ceremony photos in April at the intimate and beautiful church, Immaculate Heart of Mary in Scarsdale, New York, made a perfect setting for a fairytale wedding. This couple chose to have their wedding close to home, where the bride grew up attending and even had her uncle take part in the wedding as the officiant.

With plenty of parking for attendees nearby. A dark church but lit up with beautiful mosaic windows. There’s an upper level in the church for the second photographer to get a different perspective, which I love for the bride’s entrance and mid way through the ceremony. I even used the upper deck for some creative newlywed photos too.

After the ceremony, we arranged time for quick 10 minutes of newlywed photos inside the church then a grand exit with their guests, followed by quick celebratory champagne toast with the Rolls Royce rental car and group photos on steps with the stone backdrop. Then, we head off to their wedding reception at the fairytale wedding venue in New York – the Whitby Castle. Portraits after the hour long ceremony took about 45 minutes – so plan accordingly with your wedding photographer.
