What are candid wedding photos?

What I consider as candid wedding photos are moments being captured with and without direction. It’s a raw emotion or moment that I either helped direct or let happen naturally. Like telling your mom to zip up your dress and stand where there is good light. Let it happen naturally and capture how she reacts (cries and smiles) to you all ready for the big day. Or moments chatting with your maid of honor without me saying a peep, you don’t even know I am there, but I notice a laugh or hug coming and capture it.

 

What are whimsical wedding photos?

As a wedding photographer, I consider whimsical wedding photos inspired by Thomas Kinkade fine art or a touch of romance inspired by a romance novel or movie/film. It’s movement, light, and an enchanted story to the moment that makes it whimsical.
