Why Cross Estate Gardens for Engagement Photos

This spot is part of the Morristown National Historical Park, and it has a nice mix of open garden areas, stone paths, tall trees, a water tower (aka Repunzel’s tower), a hobbit house, and a vine-covered pergola. It feels private and peaceful—and there’s always a great photo location just a few steps away.

Helpful Info: Parking + Bathrooms

Address: 61 Jockey Hollow Road, Bernardsville, NJ 07924 (use Google Maps, don’t use Waze)
Parking: There’s a small free lot right in front of the house and near the gardens. It’s easy to find and usually has space (especially on weekdays).
Bathrooms: You won’t find restrooms at the garden itself, but there are public bathrooms at the Jockey Hollow Visitor Center about a 6 minute drive. Good to know if you’re planning an outfit change!
