New Jersey: Branch Brook Park Engagement Photos

It’s mid-May and Branch Brook Park in Newark, NJ is a perfect lush setting for engagement photos.

We began the session by setting up a picnic and playing Scrabble. Even though the proposal took place at their home, I asked them to recreate the setting so I could capture their story during the engagement photo session at Branch Brook Park. They didn’t have any photos from the proposal, so this was a great opportunity to start the session this way.

Afterward, we strolled around the park, taking photos in different lush settings near the Prudential Concert Grove. Parking is free and easy to find in this area, especially on a weekday morning.

The engagement photos were taken early in the morning, from 8:30 am to 10 am. The forecast predicted rain, which is why the sky appears white in the photos, as it was overcast that day.
