This couple was blessed with the dreamiest winter snowfall wedding at Perona Farms New Jersey, with access to both the Refinery and the Reserve for portraits throughout the day. Even though one space would have been more than enough for cozy indoor photos on a freezing cold afternoon, they fully embraced the magic of the season. We wandered through snow-covered, tree-lined paths for romantic outdoor portraits, stepped into the Reserve’s cocktail hour space for warm and intimate moments, and even snuck out at night for cinematic snowfall photos in the parking lot under glowing lights. The cold did not stand a chance against that kind of joy. It felt like a real life snow globe and they leaned all the way in.
And honestly? That is the secret. When couples choose experience over comfort for a few minutes, that is when the unforgettable images happen.
Address: 350 Andover-Sparta Road, Andover, NJ 07821
Upon entering the Perona Farms parking lot, the left side is the Reserve wedding venue, while the right side belongs to the Refinery wedding venue.
The Reserve at Perona Farms is bright, airy, and romantic, featuring an enchanted wine cellar and a beautifully renovated reception space updated in 2025. The bridal suite layout is shared between levels, with the bride getting hair and makeup ready upstairs and the groom relaxing on the main level. While it functions well logistically, it is not the most photo-forward getting ready space. If detailed getting-in-the-dress portraits are not a priority for you, this is nothing to stress about. However, if those intimate dressing moments matter to you, I recommend planning to get into your gown at the venue upstairs where we can create more intentional imagery.
The Refinery offers a completely different aesthetic with industrial architecture, modern finishes, and rich dark accents. A hidden speakeasy-style door concealed behind a mirror connects cocktail hour to the getting ready spaces, which sit side by side for the bride and groom. These suites are far more photogenic, making The Refinery the stronger choice if getting-in-the-dress portraits are important to your wedding story.
Both venues feature a ceremony space with a retractable glass roof and full access to the grounds, giving you endless opportunities for enchanting portraits no matter the season or weather condition!
We started the photos at first look in the Reserve and portraits in the wine cellar and entrance lobby with the tree. It was December, so there were holiday decor giving the venue a winter wonderland aesthetic. After these photos at the Reserve, we went outside to the snow at the tree lined path and field. Then we met at the Reserve for portraits with the wedding party at the cocktail bar and outside area. The ceremony was indoors at night time and Perona Farms allowed the couple to bring their dog to witness the marriage. What made this wedding so unique was that they asked their maid of honor and best man to do speeches at the ceremony instead of at the Reception.
