Rehearsal dinners are an important part of any wedding celebration, as they provide an opportunity for the bride and groom to relax and socialize with their closest family and friends before the big day. As such, it’s essential to have a professional photographer on hand to capture these treasured moments.
Miranda Suess is the owner and lead photographer of Suess Moments LLC, based in Jersey City, NJ. She specializes in photographing couples, engagements and wedding days. Miranda also offers additional photography services leading up to the wedding day, such as rehearsal dinner photography. Although this is an optional add-on service, Miranda strongly recommends her couples to hire her for it. This way, she can get to know them better and make them feel comfortable on the wedding day. Miranda believes that it’s important for couples to feel at ease with their photographer, so they can approach her with photo requests without feeling shy or awkward. By working with her clients at the rehearsal dinner, Miranda can go over any last-minute changes or details in person before the wedding day.
Unlike most photographers who work double or triple weddings (back to back days), Miranda prefers to focus on one wedding at a time. She believes that every couple deserves 200% of her abilities and attention. Therefore, if she works your rehearsal dinner, she will not work any other event that would disrupt the energy and flow of your big day. Even though she may miss out on additional profits by not working another full wedding day, Miranda believes that giving her clients the best experience possible is more important than making extra money. She will capture once-in-a-lifetime memories with your favorite people on your wedding weekend and share them as part of your wedding photo gallery.
1. Candid moments: Rehearsal dinners are often filled with candid and intimate moments that can’t be replicated on the wedding day. A professional photographer can capture these fleeting moments and provide you with sweet memories of your favorite people that you can treasure.
2. Getting to know your favorite people: Making people feel comfortable in front of the camera matters and getting to know who your favorite people are before the wedding day, at your rehearsal dinner, will make them feel at ease with me. They can feel like they can approach me on the wedding day because they got to know who I was at the rehearsal dinner.
3. To ensure a stress-free wedding day, let’s meet in person for any last-minute updates. We’ll go over the wedding timeline and discuss when your family photo list and wedding party members should be ready for their photo opportunities. If they’re attending your rehearsal dinner, we can make an announcement then as well.
4. Wedding weekend, remembered: Your rehearsal dinner is a once-in-a-lifetime event, and having a professional photographer on hand ensures that you have stunning images that translate into a story about your wedding weekend!
In conclusion, hiring a professional photographer for your rehearsal dinner is a smart and worthwhile investment. They will capture the essence of the evening, allowing you to relive the memories of your wedding weekend!
This rehearsal luncheon started at rehearsing their ceremony at The Chapel, then we walked over to Ci Siamo in NYC for their indoor-outdoor rooftop rehearsal luncheon. During their rehearsal “dinner” I pulled them outside of the space to the rooftop to take photos of groups and as a couple and then capture candids throughout their event.
This was a luncheon at Trump Golf Links Bedminster planned the week of the wedding. On the day of this event, the man of the brand, President Donald Trump, greeted and took photos with the celebrated couple at the event space. During this event, there wasn’t a formal dinner service – it was buffet style. It was a time to mingle with everyone so more candids and group shots were taken here.
