About the wedding
The wedding at the beautiful TillingHouse wedding venue was truly a memorable affair! The bride, along with her bridal party, prepared in the stunning, large bridal suite, which features three distinct rooms. The first room was equipped with multiple mirrors and makeup stations, making it perfect for hair and makeup, along with a convenient bathroom. The second room offered a cozy lounge and oversized mirrors but did have some catering items scattered around. The charming third room, located down the hall, was where her select family, including her mother, helped her into her gorgeous dress, ensuring it remained pristine. We captured some absolutely breathtaking bridal portraits in this lovely setting.
Meanwhile, the groom got ready in the groomsuite, which was designed for comfort and camaraderie. With a mini barber station and plenty of entertainment options, he and his groomsmen enjoyed a fun, relaxed atmosphere before the big moment.
One of the highlights of the TillingHouse experience is the dedicated bridal attendant. Their support is invaluable, from arranging golf carts to stunning photo locations to providing essential refreshments like water. They ensure seamless communication with the venue staff and assist with the bride’s veil and train, making everything feel effortless throughout the day.
We began taking newlywed portraits by the serene lakeside, where we orchestrated a magical first look. This was followed by photo sessions in front of the whimsical Tudor-style venue and its iconic wooden doors (a personal favorite of mine!). To wrap up this lovely session, we ventured onto the bridge overlooking the bustling golf course, where many friendly golfers joined in the celebration—so don’t be surprised if some of them pop up in your photos!
For family and wedding party shots, we gathered on the scenic lawn, beautifully framed by tall hedges. The spacious ceremony and reception ballroom featured ample dance floor space, perfect for creating unforgettable memories. We even organized large group photos during the reception using a fantastic setup on the side of the room, just opposite the bar—easy and effective!
I enthusiastically recommend setting aside 10 minutes during the golden hour for sunset photos on the golf course. Accessing this beautiful area through the main bar and the outdoor patio deck of the groomsuite is the best way to make the most of this stunning opportunity!
