When I started my wedding photography business in 2018, I had a Nikon DSLR lineup of the D750 & D7500. They were AWESOME. My D750 had dual SD card slots for backup peace of mind, and D7500 did not. NIKORR DSLR LENSES COMPATIBILITY

 

Gear is expensive as f*ck and I didn’t want to lose out on my 35mm f/1.4 bokeh dreamy lens I has while using D750 camera system. This lens was a BIG purchase while having DSLR camera bodies, so when I upgraded to the Nikon z6ii camera, I needed to have an adapter to function with my 35mm lens. I wasn’t ready to purchase the 35mm z series lens just yet because it wasn’t f/1.4.

In order to have your Nikon  z6ii connect to your beautiful DSLR lenses, you need the FTZ mount adapter. Even better way to save money is to bundle the Nikonz6ii and the adapter when you convert from DSLR camera to the mirrorless system but don’t want to change your lenses. ACTUALLY PRETTY GREAT VIDEO

 

I wouldn’t call myself a wedding videographer, but I have shot videos with the Nikonz6ii. I shot a youtube video found here using the z mount 50mm macro lens! It’s beautiful. I also used the video function on the P mode because I don’t know WTF I am doing lol so it comes clutch! One time I tried shooting video while being a wedding photographer so I could practice – here’s an example of how it turned out here.  The function to switch from video to photo is very quick! The best part is it saves the last settings you used too.

FLIP SCREEN ON THE NIKON Z6II

Many times while shooting wedding detail photos and the wedding reception, I need to use the flip out screen so I can line up straight lines or see above crowds. I stand 5’1” so having the flip screen to tilt in up and down direction is super beneficial so I can see what I am shooting without havin gto pray and be blind.
