Madison Hotel Conservatory NJ (Rainy) Wedding Photos
One of the toughest things for a couple planning for outdoor wedding photos is finding out that it’s raining on their wedding day. Rainy wedding days are no problem at the Madison Hotel in NJ – the Conservatory. Your rainy problems are quickly resolved when they hired a professional wedding photographer able to handle rainy wedding days. At The Madison Hotel, Conservatory, in New Jersey (NJ), a wedding when it rains is going to be okay. The dreamy NJ wedding venue has many indoor locations for beautiful wedding photos!
Madison Hotel NJ Wedding Indoor Photo Locations
Popular indoor locations in the Madison Hotel are listed below:
- The bridal suite – it’s the master (1) king bed suite at the Madison Hotel dedicated to the couple having a wedding at the hotel. Recently renovated from dark and moody to bright and dreamy for wedding photos. They even covered the window air conditioning unit in the window to make it look more modern and elegant.
- The lobby, fireplace – when it rains on a wedding day at the Madison Hotel, the best location for photos indoors with larger groups will be at the fireplace in the lobby. Unfortunately, it’s not private, but it can typically accommodate large groups for photos and keep everyone dry.
- Rods Steak & Seafood Grille Bar – Before the restaurant opens (check ahead), I recommend taking a bar photo as it’s still private and a fun shot for bride & groom portraits. If you’re not into the bar vibes – then head to the staircase for a more romantic showing off the dress look.
- The train car at Rod’s – Before the restaurant opens (check ahead), I recommend taking a photo in the restored train car for a romantic and intimate shot inside. This is a unique wedding photo opportunity not found anywhere else.
- Front entrance – This is covered and not private, yet, it is a great location for quick photos before too many guests arrive around 3:30pm for hotel check-in starting at 4pm.
- Hallways – these make a great photo op walking through the hallways for that classic timeless film look. They honestly remind me of a Titanic film scene!
- The Boardroom – when there is privacy, I find that using the board room can be a great place for sharing private vows or letter reading. Please request mirrors (provided by the venue) for a creative photojournalism touch to your photos!
- Conservatory – Now, this is not always possible, but when it is available (no other events booked before your wedding), this is the most MAGICAL and BEST place for indoor wedding photos before your Madison Hotel Conservatory ceremony.
How to plan for a rainy wedding day
- Be okay with indoor photo locations on your wedding day
- Lucky for you, the only option for a wedding ceremony and reception is indoors at the Madison Hotel. They don’t offer an outdoor option.
- Rain can create a unique and romantic photo opportunity. Embrace it – but wait until the reception to be so daring in the rain! I have an idea for that 😉
- Bring umbrellas! Clear or solid white ones photograph best!
- Don’t you know? Rain is the symbol of good luck!
- Pick a wedding dress fabric that can handle wetness. Since your photos are taken before the ceremony, it’s best to choose a dress that doesn’t stain when wet, like satin does.
