A collection of garden theme wedding photos at Pat’s 30 Acres in NJ by Suess Moments Photography.
It rained on a late spring day in May, and it was good luck on their wedding day. We started the wedding getting ready at a rental home about a 10-minute drive near Pat’s 30-acre venue. The couple hired their favorite Asbury, NJ restaurant, Crdnl, to cater the wedding. Most of the wedding decor was DIY by one of the bride’s seven sisters. Speaking of seven sisters, the bride had each wear a floral dress without restrictions! Seeing them express each style and go with the garden wedding theme was cute. The wedding was magical, despite the rain. I believe the rain added a touch of romance. The couple prepared with clear umbrellas, and guests came equipped with their own, too, or they found some to borrow for the ceremony under the large trees. Because the ceremony occurred outdoors and on grass, I highly recommend that the females wear chunky heels to protect their pretty shoes from sinking into the mud. At Pat’s 30 acres, I would say it’s a pretty casual vibe. Instead of using the picnic tables provided by the venue, the couple opted to rent out different wood tables, chairs, and mix-match china for their wedding. It certainly elevated the venue by doing this! One of the best parts of my job as a wedding photographer is capturing dance floor action – the DJ entertainment company, Elite Entertainment, kept the dance floor alive all night. By the night’s end, I noticed how perfect the bride still looked – her hair and makeup stylists did a great job making sure her style held up despite the rain, sweat, tears, and jumping around on the dance floor – she remained beautiful through it all!

We began with a first look, followed by portraits of just the bride and groom wearing their wedding bands. We then took photos of the wedding party (bridesmaids and groomsmen) and family. We had about 45 minutes to spare to prepare and chill out before the ceremony and the guests’ arrival. It rained during their ceremony, but we continued despite the drizzle not dampening our mood. Afterward, we celebrated with food, dancing, and an open bar under the glow of Pat’s 30 Acre’s Edison bulbs all night long.
