The Whitby Castle in Rye, NY is still one of the top enchanting wedding venues for an outdoor wedding ceremony. It has a rain plan but in the event, New York has perfect weather conditions on your wedding day – the Whitby Castle offers a beautiful lawn for an outdoor ceremony with a castle backdrop. This wedding was in September, when the weather is almost always perfect.
“In September 2019, we went to the Fairmount Water Works park in Philadelphia under the guise of a family photo. Nicole (Larry’s Mom) asked me, Joel (Larry’s Dad), Juanita “Mom Mom” (Larry’s Grandmother), Jasmine (Larry’s Sister), Cameron (Larry’s Brother), and Mercy (Larry’s Sister) to dress in fall colors- maroon, navy, or mustard yellow. We gathered under the gazebo and rotated through different variations of our group. Finally, Nicole and Joel artfully posed in the gazebo: facing each other, looking out over the water, and then turning to smile at the camera. Afterward, it was Larry’s turn to do the same poses. When the time arrived for us to look out over the water I heard “Wait, hold on! Let me fix your hair”. Unbeknownst to me, as Nicole fixed the bumps in my hair, Joel placed the small box into Larry’s hand. I turned back around, Larry dropped to the ground, my family and our close friends walked up, and then we both mentally blacked out. Neither of us knows exactly what he said, but we do know it ended in those fateful words.” – Francesca
This couple has very fun enchanting wedding details that fit perfectly with a castle wedding venue. Like a vintage-style newspaper for their wedding guests to learn about the couple and the day itself. Lots of candles and colors of Blush Pink, Gold, Burgundy.

We started taking photos of the groom and his groomsmen downstairs and outside, and then I photographed the bridesmaids and the bride upstairs in the iconic bridal suite at the Whitby Castle
Seated for about 150 guests, timeless elegant white chairs lined up to seat attendees with views of the floral arch accenting the stunning castle backdrop. Roses and accents of burgundy and gold throughout the ceremony design.
The most epic dance party I have ever witnessed at the Whitby Castle because of their incredibly lively and professional wedding DJ @specialistsdjs
This bride had THREE dress changes. Went from princess with the long tulle detachable skirt to a mermaid-style gown to a mini tutu dress to shred the dancefloor in.
