Plenty of parking for your large wedding count!!
Although back-to-back weddings/events happen at the Madison Hotel, especially in the sought-out Conservatory space, this is something you need to keep in mind when planning a wedding here. This is because your planner/decorator/florist/DJ will need to know how early they can enter to set up, so they don’t interfere with another wedding or event before yours.

Did you know the Madison Hotel was voted one of New Jersey’s dreamiest wedding venues?
As of 2023, The Madison Hotel is undergoing updates, remodels, and refurbishing its vintage charm. When I was there last, beginning of 2023, the Glynallynn Ballroom was transformed from its champagne, gold color palette into a dark modern navy blue and gold palette. Last I heard, The Conservatory will not lose its glass room oasis charm in the remodeling plan. However, the rest of the hotel will be getting a facelift! I even hope the rooms themselves will get updated too! I can’t wait to see how it looks when I am there next.
On this day, I came early to figure out a plan on how to make their wedding feel vintage with the old traditional Hollywood vibe. My first thought was photos with red vintage furniture and spotlighting. The client also requested that I shoot like a famous photographer, Wes Anderson. I studied and learned how to make sure her wedding memory dreams could come true. On the day, I arrived early with my assistant, and we asked one of the venue managers to get some help moving a couch into the cocktail hour space to take photos. Unfortunately, a bridal shower was happening in the conservatory, so we could not use that space for pre-wedding pictures. Instead, we used the cocktail hour room, which was PERFECT for the old Hollywood-style photos. Following images of the couple in there, the couple requested pictures in the train restaurant next door – which was possible as long as we photographed there before dinner at 4-5 pm. It was under 40 degrees this wedding day, so we spent little time outdoors. We were quick with the portraits with the wedding party outside – then we set up a little photo spot for the VIP family members inside so that the elderly didn’t have to walk too far. We even brought chairs for them from a nearby room. The wedding did take place in the conservatory, and then a cocktail hour within walking distance, followed by the glass conservatory greenhouse again for the reception.
Something worth mentioning is that the conservatory is wheelchair accessible, but (I believe I saw) disabled guests will need to go outside to enter the greenhouse. For this reason, this can be particularly tough during bad weather conditions and the handicapped need to use the restroom. Please double-check with your wedding event coordinator about this statement to see if it’s true.
