2020 couples planning to get married were thrown a curveball of the century! The coronavirus pandemic turned big weddings into NYC micro weddings and photography was still needed regardless. COVID-19 ruined their plans. Some couples canceled, others postpone, others had one anyway and downsized and changed plans. Like this couple, they decided to downsize their wedding into a micro-wedding of under 50 people on their original 2020 wedding date.
We started taking photos of the bride at her childhood home. It meant a lot to her to have her parents there + a bestie as she got ready.
Then we went to the local church that meant a lot to the bride. Our Lady of Mercy in Forest Hills, NYC.
Afterward, we took the bride and groom portraits at the local enchanting Forest Hills train station.
The last stop was the rooftop at Il Bacco in Queens, NYC.
