Most couples plan their engagement photos at Liberty State Park NJ if they like the NYC skyline views, historic train station, and seasonal foliage around the park.

Is Liberty State Park NJ pet friendly?

Yes! I encourage my couples to bring their fur baby to the park for their engagement couples photo shoot. If you do bring a furry friend, please also bring a friend or family member to assist with watching and walking your pet around before/during your photo session. We only need about 10-15minutes with your dog.

When should we take our photos at Liberty State Park?

All year round Liberty State Park is a great place for your engagement photos as a couple. My favorite season of all is spring. There’s a field of pink trees blooming near the marina and walkways with the skyline view too! The sun does rise behind the skyline, so it would make a perfect sunrise photo shoot location (less crowds) and epic photos. Otherwise, most couples opt for sunset-time engagement photos for a golden hour effect and looks great in the fields as you enter the park. We can get there within a 5-8 minute walk from the parking lot. Bring your walking shoes and picnic blanket for some romantic shots!

My engagement photo sessions last about 90 minutes and I offer up to 2 outfit changes. I book photo shoots around 90 minutes to 2 hours before the sun sets for the best light.
