This couple (bride & groom) went to Fordham university college in the Bronx, New York, and wanted to get married at campus church, then take photos in the area for a golden hour before heading over to their cocktail hour and reception venue: Hollow Brook Golf Club.

To get to the church inside Fordham University without having to park 10 minutes away in a parking garage. Now, the guests at YOUR wedding will need to do the same! Keep that in mind when booking Fordham University church for a ceremony. If you are a photographer reading this, the church does not allow off-camera flash inside, but I was allowed to take photos with on-camera flash. The lighting inside, as per usual, is hard to work with without flash.

A wedding day that had us all in tears

The night before the groom got married, his father was hospitalized for a week, and he had to literally beg the doctors to let him come to his wedding. His father wanted to be there, despite his failing organs leading up to his son’s wedding. The doctor set him up with oxygen tanks to make it through the day – but he had to go back to the hospital after the wedding. During the toast/speeches, the groom cracked and broke down while telling his story about his dad and how grateful he was to have him there. EVERYONE was crying! That moment was surreal – a realization of WHY I photograph wedding days.
