The History of Hutton Brickyards

Back in 1870’s Hutton’s built a brick manufacturing yard right on the Hudson River- the town of Kingston. Read more about its history here , before it became the coolest wedding venues in the Hudson Valley (Kingston, New York).

 

Opening April 2021

Hutton Brickyards wedding and event venue will have glamping cabins available for guests to take on a full adventure experience!

The hotel will initially feature 31 guest cabins and suites, thoughtfully designed to optimize privacy and water views. For guests, outdoor recreation and indoor luxury are conveyed through casually elegant surroundings, with nostalgic touches and a timeless upstate attitude.

The cabins cut a striking profile against the landscape— with a design direction that is textural and rich borrowing inspiration from the Shaker aesthetic. Ultimately, guests will enjoy a strong connection to nature while luxuriating in the many considered touchpoints of an urban boutique hotel.

The sprawling campus will feature whimsical invitations to fun: an archery range, croquet lawn, firepits, and bicycles. Opportunities for hikes, guided kayak experiences, paddle-boarding, running, outdoor yoga, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, bee-keeping, and more abound in the neighboring wilderness and water. While a delivery cart meanders down a cabin path, guests may raise a woven flag to signal a room service request.

Riverfront dining comes to Hutton Brickyards in 2021.

Wood-fired ovens and grills are the centerpieces of the outdoor kitchen, menus are inspired by the Hudson Valley’s bounty—with an emphasis on local, organic ingredients farmed nearby (and on-site) for centuries. A diverse wine cellar and multi-course tasting experience provide an elevated complement to Hutton’s practiced simplicity.

The Fairytale themed Wedding at Hutton Brickyards

Who knew an industrial wedding venue would become home to a fairytale themed wedding? I approached the fairytale-themed styled wedding idea to a New York / New Jersey wedding planner, Martine of Wedding M.D., as she is the one I can count on to make my vision come to life.

We had a dream team come together who received Pinterest inspired fairytale mood boards and they all came up with their creative spins to the photoshoot.
